General. The TMDE Series professional encoders perform video and audio MPEG-2 4.2.0 compression in accordance with DVB or ATSC Digital Television Standards.

Flexible architecture. The TMDE Series encoders are designed to be easily hardware configurable to meet the most demanding requirement for Digital Television Broadcasting Networks.They can be equipped with up to 4 internal plug-in encoders, with an high performance built-in multiplexer and with the possibility to have various input standard interfaces (composite, SDI digital (optional), S-VHS, video inputs; analog balanced, AES/EBU digital (optional), SP-DIF (optional) audio inputs).
Output transport stream interface is DVB-ASI standard (LVDS available as option).

High capacity. The TMDE Series encoders can be equipped to perform the MPEG-2 compression and the correspondent multiplexing of up to 4 video and 8 audio programs. For more video and audio programs it is possible to multiplex more MDE encoders with an external ASI multiplexer.

Multistandard. The TMDE Series encoders support PAL, NTSC, SECAM video signals.

Fully configurable. The TMDE Series encoders are fully configurable locally with a complete and easy to use front panel LCD display or remotely with a specific PC software (enclosed). All important parameters like encoders audio and video bit rates, encoder code rates, video resolution, audio sampling frequency and many others are instantly programmable to match the digital networks needings.

Compact design. The TMDE Series encoders are realized into a very compact 19” standard rack, 1 U high.
